As long as you have kids, teenagers, pets and lots of visitors, your carpet will become a nest bed for drops, accidents, mud, and whatever that sticks on your shoes. Check out the following 10 tips that professional carpet cleaning company Lindon use.
Never rub fresh stains as they will spread and cover more area, instead dab affected area gently or use a towel and hammer slowly with a plastic mallet. Rubbing the stain will cause the fibers to be pressurized which can cause breakage. By dabbing the affected area, the hammering force will gently displace stains towards the dry towel. If good ol’ water won’t convince the stain to move, then perhaps a few dips of club soda can be of use. Alternatively, you can mix with white vinegar to form a 1-2 combo of stain softening reactants. Once the stains are gone, then rinse with warm water to remove the solution excess which can cause unpleasant smell. If the stains have been dried, or maybe club soda isn’t available right now, then you can use shaving cream. Yes, shaving cream can potentially remove all manner of stains. Simply spray over the stain and leave it for an hour, then blot it away with moist, warm towel to remove the cream along with the stain with it. One of the most annoying piece of material that can stick to your carpets is chewing gum, however, it’s quite easy to remove if you know how. Never force the issue as the gum can pull out the carpet’s fiber if forcibly pulled. To do so, first ‘freeze’ the gum with ice cubes which can cause it to hardened, and then with its sticking properties subdued due to the freezing, it will be easier to pull than forcing it out without freezing. If greasy stain is the problem, then look no further than in your kitchen for a solution of dish washing liquid. Just like it can cut through the grease with your kitchen utensils, so does it will have an easy time cutting down the grease in your carpet. Remember to always blot the area and then rinse the remaining dishwashing solution by dabbing warm moist towel repeatedly until you got it all out. Wax are also problematic just like gum, but instead of freezing it up, use heat to melt the wax so you can scrape it off the carpet without resistance. The best way to heat the wax is to use iron but don’t place the iron directly on the wax, put a cloth as a buffer to the heat and prevent it from burning you carpet. Blood stains can be difficult to remove which can stain the carpet permanently if not treated immediately. The best way to do is to weaken the stain with blood thinner such as hydrogen peroxide. As you drop the peroxide into the blood, foam will form as a result of the reaction so don’t panic as this is normal. Remove the foamy output with a moist towel. If pet accidents occur, try to fight it with organic cleaning solutions that is priced from $10-$15 a pop. Organic cleaners does not leave harmful residue as chemicals do, and is safe for your pets too. If the poop is sticky then some scrubbing is needed. Kids are adorable but expect a handful of sugary candies popping up in your carpet once in a while. Clean with a wet sponge just make sure that no sugar are left behind as it can attract more dirt. With all these abuse our carpets are taking, it makes sense to have it professionally cleaned by professional such as AJS carpet cleaning Lindon. Deep cleaning means having the cleaning solution penetrate the deepest part of the carpet and unsettling the dirt which will be then removed with a powerful extractor. How often do you need professional carpet cleaning? A good estimate is every 6 months for a people of four.
